Yep! I have not purchased it yet. Hopefully it will be in GOOD shape!
Great car! I found a deal on one for a buddy after his Metro was totaled out. It is a 96 HX and had 176,000 one owner miles. He has put over 15,000 miles on it with most of it at 220 miles a day. He drives around 65 mph with the ac on and consistently gets 45 to 48mpg. He loves it.
"Shadow HX" -- hmm -- "Shadow" is toooo common -- trying to think of something UNIQUE...
Something that defines something poetic...
So far I'm thinking of "Bantam Phantom"
Hx, for the type of civic
Hex, because if everyone drove one, that would cast a spell on oil forever sealing it's importation fate.
and civic. .
LOL!! Nice one!!
Shadow Hx made me think "ShadowHaX," aka Shadowfax - Gandalf's horse in LoTR. It carried him swiftly - and horses don't need gas...
HypermilerX -- sounds good!
Look at my sig =) Thanks everyone for trying to help me out here.
Is Honda Civic HX an ULEV?
Ah! A new vehicle. It's BIG too. Gets great mileage and floats down the road. Sure it can go 80 on the freeway, but why not slow down and watch the scenery.
Here is my new BEAST.
Now you may wonder what going on? This isn't a hi miler. But you are wrong friend.
How do you get better mileage from a BEAST?
First slow down. 50 is nifty cause it saves gas. Actually it seems so SLOW.
I installed a K&N air filter. They are recleanable and get you up to 3 MPG more!
I know that Synthetic oil improves the engine power, saving gas.
I used Valvoline full synthetic oil and a new Fram oil filter. You get up to 1 mpg more, and is better oil for your engine.
I was getting 9 MPG at 65 mph. Now I get 11 MPG. I'll get 12 to 15 MPG at 50 MPH.
Believe me when you have to pony up over $180.00 to fill the tank (75 gallons @ 2.50 per gallon) you appreciate every bit of Hi mileage you get. :bananalama:
