Cool. Well, if I don't consider it a nag then it won't go up on the list fo things to do ;)

But I guess I will count it anyway. Any more votes for this feature?

Thanks for the response Tom. You had posted responses to others, so I wasn't sure what you (or others) thought of the idea.

I think the 90 day thing is nice.

But I dont know about segment. I could go out and do a unreal Wayne type, not real world segment for me and post a great number. I guess I dont see the value in a segment database.

    Hi Psy:

___The unreal stuff belongs to those that have unlimited country roads to play on. I only get to play on those maybe 3% of the Accords 63K miles :( You are right though, pushing out a 90 + mpg segment in your Civic would not be much trouble for a 20 - 40 mile segment or so. Every day? You may as well PHEV-20 a used Prius II or build an EV and be done with gasoline altogether if you are going to play that game day in and out.

___Note to self. Next house - up on a slight hill with country roads from drive all the way to work. And within 10 miles … Next car? Used Lean-burn capable CRX w/ a FAS switch. Leanburn is only used for the occasional highway romps … Never mind, give me the country road within 10 miles of work and the Ranger P/U will be doing Insight numbers year round ;)

Wayne, You would have loads of fun around here where I live. I have those unlimited country roads you mentioned and I have my injector kill/FAS switch.:D Also, the trip from my house to my wife's work and from there to my work is ~15 miles. Maybe you need to bring your Ranger or Accord and show me what's really possible.:)

Actually, I'm trying to get some hands on training on familiar roads that I would use every day.:p ;)

    Hi Larry:

___The Ranger is good for between 60 and 75 when pushed on those type of roads and conditions (SG-II equipped Ranger has shown me south of 72 mpg's over 15 miles earlier this fall) and I think you already know as much as I do given your daily grind and your most recent Saturn’s tank data. Kicking @$$ and taking no prisoners is how I would describe your Hypermiling capabilities today ;)

    Segments......schmegments......

We should start with year 'round data.
I made this statement on another forum, and I still say a hypermiler status should not only include requirements based on exceding the EPA numbers, but doing it for a 12 month period.

A segment is good for nothing but pictures, as you haven't got me back to where I started.
Same with the year around. If I don't post my winter mileage, then you see only my summer segment.

    Hi Randall:

___I would not suggest anyone post just segments as they mean nothing either but it is nice to see them every once in a while ;) Year round cumulative is the only way to measure and display.

    So something like this?

Those types of sigs have been added to the regular sigs. The next time you add a tank they will be created. Just add his in front of the carid.png for instance my additonal sigs are his1.png, his1L.png, his1UK.png

It was kind of hacked together so you might want to double check the numbers manually.

From Tom, back on page 2........

    Just a reminder.........

Don't forget the Gallery pic upload page, as I was just there, and the banner causes you to have to scroll down to get to the process button. Would be much smooooother if I didn't have to scroll down.:D

    Randall,
12 month is fine with me, certainly better than lifetime. Those from the north are at a bit of a disadvantage though as far as posting great 12 month data, which is why I suggested 90 days, could be anything, but lifetime makes it hard for those who have just learned how to hypermile to get numbers up if they have been just driving for a couple of years. Segments are interesting (to me at least and once upon a time Wayne asked for this at Green hybrid, but has changed his mind I guess) if they are round trip and more than 50 miles, just to see what someone can do, but I agree that full tanks over many months are much more interesting.

    Tom,
I like the sig banner but would suggest 12 mo, 6 mo, 3 mo and lifetime.

So then what about the image I posted earlier? It is done and functional. I just don't display it anywhere. But if you have added a tank after I posted there is an image created on the server for you to use as you see fit.

Sorry I didn't realize it was flexible. I like the banner, maybe 4 mo could be changed to 12 month to address the year round thing that Randall mentioned. I think he was talking about 12 month data rather than lifetime, but I may have misinterpreted. What is clear is that he thinks segments are meaningless, I don't agree if we specify round trip segments of 50 miles or more.

Looks like it could use a little clean up. Maybe I should make the percent of combined epa smaller.

Sig looks good Tom. Thanks. You prefer 6 over 12 months I assume?

It was a tough call. The feeling I got was people wanted a more recent history vs a longer history.
