I thought it would be helpful to have a compilation all of the useful XGAUGE documentation and codes in one spot. We can keep building this database, so feel free to list any XGAUGES that you use, but aren't listed here (with the exception of trip gauges or gauges covered in the vehicle specific PDF, see Documentation section). If you try one of these gauges, please post whether it worked/didn't work, or any modifications you made.

Thanks to everyone who posted a gauge on various forums (TDIclub, cleanMPG), because I stole it and put it here.

    INTRO

    • Don't forget to save after entering a gauge!
    • TXDs starting with 68 6A F1 are for non-CAN (VPW, ISO, KWP) BUSes, CAN BUSes work differently (see Documentation section). All gauges listed are non-CAN unless otherwise specified.
    • CONF?: field will note if this gauge has been confirmed to work (we can also include the make/model it worked on).
    • ->NAM: field is just a suggested name.

    hobbit He who posts articles

This is great, my only snide comment is that this is something
that should be maintained at the linear-logic site. Or at the
very least pointed to from there, so people interested in the
unit don't have to search all over the place for "street knowledge"
    on this stuff.

I partially agree with that, and I think that Linear Logic has done a fairly good job of documenting Xgauges in the vehicle specific gauges PDF I have linked to. However, we can't really expect them to update this every time one of their users comes up with another gauge. That's why a user maintained list could be more current, and can include gauges that aren't 'officially verified' by Linear Logic. Just to make this clear, this is in no way trying to be an official list, just a thread to point a new user to when they wonder about what XGauges are available. (And for people who are trying to get gauges working)

Curious. I'm wondering if anyone else has monitored both MAF and GPH in a Honda.

On mine, either there is a huge coincidence of conversions from grams/second of air to deci-gallons per hour of gasoline, OR Honda reports GPH*0.1 for MAF pings. (The only time they diverge is during fuel cut.)

Hi Bykerboi, welcome to the site!

I'm pretty sure the Matrix uses CAN protocol, you can check this on the SG after you have it set up. For CAN protocol, the TXD values for the above codes need to be modified, read the XGAUGE PROGRAMMING PDF in the Documentation section above.

Be sure to check out the links in my signature for driving methods to improve your MPGs.

@kmactavi, thanks for the resource. It's a good idea. You might want to link to XGauge (CAN-bus) for Dummies..., which has a number of XGauges specific to the Prius.

@-mr. bill, it sounds like you have MAF working as an XGauge. What communication protocol does your car use? My Civic LX uses CANLF, and I can't get any of the XGauges to work.

from a post on the Insight Central forums.

This is just watching the O2 sensor and dividing the value returned by 2. To get actual voltage coming from the sensor you would need to change MTH to 000100C80000. This will divide the value by 200 (normally you multiply by .005)

This has been tested on my insight, along with others.

    Hi Johnuk:

___The iMPG is a std. gauge so you will not need to program that. The X-Gauge aMPG is TXD all 0’s, RXF of 8000 0000 0000, RXD all 0’s and MTH all 0’s if that helps? What else are you looking for exactly?

___If you have a 3.15 Firmware equipped ScanGauge (X-Gauge capable), you can create the X-Gauge with the above coding :)

The X-Gauge aMPG for current trip or segment is TXD all 0’s, RXF of 8000 0000 0000, RXD all 0’s and MTH all 0’s.

Here's a dump of some of the gauges I've found for the Prius. Per the notes the "gps" gauge works on the TCH as well. I have a case convention I hold to. Builtin gauges are all caps, Published gages are lowercase with the first char capped, Discovered gauges are all lowercase.

I've also corrected "Bta" since there is a known error in the previous version. I've also offered up both "Soc" and "soc". Since "Bta" and "Soc" conflict (can't be displayed together), there is a need for non-conflicting versions.

Also you may want to link to the LL XGauge Coding Manual recently "publicly" released.
