BMW 520 D ? Midsized powered by a 2.0L turbo-diesel engine with a 0 ? 60 time of 8.5 seconds and a 40 mpgUS combined rating on the NEDC. It's simply not the case that the only way to enjoy good-value, clean, fuel-efficient motoring is to pedal around in a cramped and miserable box on wheels.
