Global automakers continue to increase sales despite the continuing specter of the European sales dragging the entire market down. Sales of new cars in Europe have reached a 20 year low in fact. When considering China, it is now the world?s largest automobile market but it is far from the most profitable. This comes out to a whopping $3,158 pre-tax profit per automobile in North America.
