Hyundai to Install South Korea's Largest Solar Power Rooftop

Manufacturing facility to receive the PV system in Asan, Korea build the Sonata Hybrid. This morning Hyundai announced that it will be installing the nation?s largest rooftop photovoltaic power plant at its manufacturing factory in Asan, Korea. According to the release, Hyundai?s Asan plant will be the production site with Korea Electric Power Corporation (KEPCO) purchasing the electricity and selling it back to customers including Hyundai itself. Working with Korea Midland Power Co., Ltd. (KOMIPO), Hyundai plans to install about 40,000 solar photovoltaic modules on the rooftops of Asan?s press, welding, assembly and engine buildings before year?s end.
