Mercedes Hybrid Offensive in Detroit

A diesel powered mild hybrid fuel miser for Europe and a revamped S400 for us. Mercedes-Benz E 300 BlueTEC HYBRID ? 56.0 mpgUS combined on the NEDC or approximately 46 mpgUS on our own 08 EPA. The new E400 will be rated at less than half the Benz E 300 BlueTEC HYBRID at 21 mpgUS combined, the same as the current slow selling S400.
