GM Invests in Fully Battery Electric Bus Company
120-minute charges, 40-miles AER and it?s a city bus! GM released a doozy today as its capital venture arm, GM Ventures will be investing $6 million in Proterra, a battery electric commercial transit bus maker, as part of its mission to invest in next-generation technologies that support innovation in the global transportation industry. GM Ventures is part of an investment group, led by venture capital firm Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers that will invest a total of $30 million in the bus manufacturer.
