Garmin n?vi recall affects Volvo

One of the safest car companies in the world gets bit by a tertiary supplier? Volvo recalls models of its vehicles that were retro-fitted with the optional Garmin produced n?vi 760 and 765 navigation systems for safety reasons. The Garmin navigation unit which has been installed in several Volvo models may have a defect that causes some battery types to overheat. Volvo's own navigation system, the Road Traffic Information (RTI), is not affected by the recall.
