The 2009 BMW 800 GS was pulling between 47 and 59 mpg during the adventure too :D After starting out from New York to Florida and then to Alaska at the beginning of last year, Doris Wiedemann and her travelling companion Sjaak Lukassen completed an absolutely fantastic road trip. They rode in the middle of winter all the way to Deadhorse, Alaska!
