Bump Start A Smart

Does anyone know if it is possible to bump start a Smart Fortwo (in fifth gear)? This is the 451 version sold in the US.

Re: Bump Start A Smart

Hi Gabe,

I just posted some ideas in your other thread: http://www.cleanmpg.com/forums/showt...t=25941&page=2

Tell me if you have any luck with bump-starting at speed.

-Simon

Re: Bump Start A Smart

Well no way to bump start, but I can do pretty well with P&G with the car in Neutral. I was able to hit 54MPG for my last tank. That is 10MPG improvement over my first tank. Once the car is properly broken in 60 should not be a problem.
