I'm certainly glad this day is over. The FE wasn't too bad but it was certainly the bright spot of the day. We got up to a whopping 46° today and winds were NW@ 5-10 mph

77.9 9.4-back home
87.6 12.0-to wife's work
86.4 12.0-back home
95.3 8.2-to daughter's voice lesson
84.3 9.9-back home
Average for today was 86.2 mpg.

Well, that was part of the reason I upgraded to the Prius. It still tends to chaff, is all . Better than 33-35 mpg overall.

Re: Week of November 2nd - November 8th (Nat Avg $2.71)
Well, I must have left my numbers in the car. Going from memory:
71 mpg home. I lost a couple mpg at a highway merge - a huge cluster of traffic came and I had to stop dead, then gun it up to 55 to merge in.
68 mpg this morning. I lose a bit with a failed FAS - it was idling for about a minute. Calculating a minute of idle fuel usage, that would have been about 71 otherwise.
The tank still reads 71, though.

Re: Week of November 2nd - November 8th (Nat Avg $2.71)
Some good and some bad...I've been staying in town lately at the girlfriend's place, so I haven't been driving nearly as many miles...bad news is, that means short trips. Engine barely even got to ~125* into work the other morning, I may see if I can store a bicycle over there instead.
Also, good weather here is allowing me some motorcycle time, so that will bring my mileage up as well

Re: Week of November 2nd - November 8th (Nat Avg $2.71)
Weather got colder lately and this morning it was raining too. I constantly use heated gloves (2A power draw) when on the bike.
Haven't ridden much over 5°C lately, idle began to get higher even after several kms. Today I covered half of the radiator - it seems to work, I'll have to find some permanent solution, now it's a very makeshift one
Last week I had a pretty long 2-up ride on the freeway well over my usual speed and w/o P&G, I was mostly doing 110-120 and later had another 100-110 non-freeway ride (I was almost late from work, traffic was very slow out of the city Friday afternoon so I had to make up for it later), but I saved a lot of gas then when I stayed here because of the frost - I don't like to ride on any form of ice
In spite of the fast rides and extra weight and cold and rain Teresa still hasn't gone to reserve so she's doing better than the present 3.08l/100km (76.3mpg) so I'm basically satisfied. Result soon, I expect to get the reserve light on the way home (probably tomorrow, the forecast tells 0 degrees and probable thick fog for the next morning, sounds very unpleasant...)

Re: Week of November 2nd - November 8th (Nat Avg $2.71)
Stay safe out there, Alvaro!!!
I started feeling pretty ill yesterday around 10AM so my numbers after that when leaving work weren't stellar (though I did get some pretty incredible breaks in traffic and light timing).
I'm at home today, but here are the numbers from yesterday.
45F (36F windchill), 12mph cross/headwind from the WNW, overcast:
- 95.1mpg for 20.0mi (Work to doctor's office)
43F (34F windchill), 15mph wind from the WNW, overcast:
- 80.5mpg for 3.7mi (Doctor's office to home)
The tank is down to 97.2mpg over 383.2mi with 15 of 20 bars remaining on the fuel gauge.
Day Total: 95.4mpg over 46.6mi
My wife thinks I have the dreaded H. virus. I guess we'll see.

Looks like you did pretty good despite the health issues. Keep in mind that less than 2% of flu-like symptoms turn out to be the pig flu. I pray you recover quickly.
I started the day with 35° and the wind is WSW@ 5 mph. The daily average is at 84.0 mpg.
89.4 9.4
79.2 9.4
I have a lead on a welding job. The pay is in the $12/hr range and it's 1st shift. I have to go in a little while to fill out an application.
